May 29, 2024 – Thales Canada been awarded sub-contracts by GDMSC for the Department of National Defence (DND) and Canadian Armed Forces’ Land Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) system.
The sub-contracts will enable the long-term sustainment of the Canadian Army’s LCSS, which includes four programs: Core Networks; System of Systems Engineering and Integration; Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance; and, Applications. Together, these contracts provide essential services to enable the delivery of new capability and ensure the long-term evolution of the highly integrated command and control communications system, which is critical to the Army’s operations and mission success at home and abroad.
In delivering this work, Thales will further develop its long-standing commitment to driving innovation in key Canadian industrial capabilities through collaboration with Indigenous businesses, start-ups, academia, innovation superclusters and small and medium-sized businesses, as well as through its unique Canadian innovation infrastructure like AI@Centech, SYNERGY, and its new National Digital Excellence Centre.
